Earn Verified Service Hours

All volunteers are given certified service hour credits. We provide official documentation for school, club, or graduation requirements, making it easy to meet these requirements while supporting meaningful work.

Send In Artwork

  • Share your art to be featured in Misoul St. art galleries, art books, and community projects.

    All art is accepted, including both physical and digital art!

    • Any grade

    • For physical artwork submitted to gallery: be able to mail or deliver artwork to gallery site or team members (NYC) 

Art Gallery Volunteer

  • Assist with setting up and running our art galleries. Tasks may include installing artwork, managing the front desk and ticketing, guiding visitors through the exhibition, sketching live portraits, and helping with general event coordination. 

    No experience needed!

    Available Roles

    • Front Desk/Ticketing: Welcomes guests, checks tickets, answers general questions.

    • Selling Merchandise: Helps sells merchandise and handle sales at the gallery.

    • Sketch Artist: Sketches quick portraits of visitors to create engagement and interest. Can use multiple and different mediums.

    • Gallery Guide: Leads visitors through the exhibit and provides background on the artworks or artists. Creates engagement with attendees and maintains gallery flow.

    • Set Up Crew: Assists with physically setting up the exhibition space (moving displays, hanging art, arranging decor).

    • Clean Up Crew: Assists with post event takedown and clean up of the space. Helps transport materials and restore venue to original state

    • Photographer / Videographer: Captures photos/videos of the event for social media or future promotion.

    • Assistant: Flexible, all rounder helper who assists with various tasks wherever needed. This can include helping with setup, cleanup, greeting guests, etc.

    • 7th-12th Grade

    • Must live in NYC -  Be able to commute to the gallery spaces

Promote Misoul St.

  • Help raise awareness about Misoul St. by promoting our mission and events through various methods.

    This can include posting on social media, sharing opportunities at your schools, assisting in organizing promotional events, and more. 

    • Any Grade

    • Remote or In-Person

Create Merchandise

  • Help us make keychains, pins, stickers, and other merch by joining in-person sessions with our team.

    No experience needed! Sessions will mostly be held in libraries and other community spaces in Manhattan. However, sessions will also be held in different boroughs depending on the volunteers' locations.

    • 7th-12th Grade

    • Must live in NYC - Be able to commute

    • No art experience required

Art Workshop Volunteer

  • Support middle school art workshops by leading lessons, assisting with student portfolios, and fostering creativity. Volunteers guide students through creative development, provide feedback, and help manage workshop activities to create an encouraging environment. 

    Some art experience required!

    Available Roles:

    • Lead Art Instructor - Art Experience Required: Guide students through art lessons and demonstrates techniques. Help deliver engaging activities that help students learn and express themselves.

    • Portfolio Mentor - Art Experience Required: Work with students to develop their art portfolios. Provide feedback, help select pieces, and guide them in presenting their work clearly and confidently.

    • Workshop Assistant - Minimal Art Experience Required: Support lead instructor by preparing materials, assisting students during activities, and ensuring the workshops run smoothly and efficiently.

    • Student Engagement Coordinator - No Art Experience Required: Create a welcoming environment by encouraging participation, helping students feel comfortable, and keeping the group energized and focused.

    • 9th-12th Grade

    • Must live in NYC - Be able to commute to the middle schools

    • Various roles available
